Now it’s saying I have 0 text on the page. All the other bullet points are green.
I had the same problem. Tried all kind of things. Finally, frustrated, I logged off Word Press and checked the forum. When I logged back into my site, the error was gone and all analysis buttons were green. Looks like some bad db entry may have cleared. Don’t know if this will work for you, but worked for me.
I was hopeful, but I logged in to day and a page that has content directly on the page is still coming up as not optimized due to having 0 text on the page. There are other “green” bullets, so I know that it’s not the connection between the plugin and the theme/builder.
Are you using shortcodes, custom fields, or any other non-default content areas? Or do you have only text in the content area? The green bullets may be analyzing other non-content parts so that doesn’t fully rule out any conflicts.
Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen.
Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.
As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.
