Possible to cache thumbnails?
-
Hi @ndre and thanks for your great plugin!
As I have built-up my database, I noticed that the page is a little slow on first load (and with a different browser). Once accessed, the page-speed is good on subsequent visits, presumably due to browser cache?
Is there a way to speed-up the initial page load? It looks like the plugin is resizing the featured images to create the thumbnails, and drawing each one down the page (my 5-meg connection is quite slow). Looking at the browser performance cascade tab in dev tools doesn’t help me (but I’m not so techy).
Is there a setting I’ve missed, or a way to cache these generated thumbs? (Or a config clash with my Divi theme?)
Obviously I could use smaller featured images, but I currently use them on the individual product page, too. All images are optimised in Lightroom, and then further compressed with EWWW after upload.
Thanks, and keep up the good work. 🙂
