This happened after I upgraded from WordPress 5.3 to the latest version.
5.3 is the latest version!!
I tried re-installing the plugin but still does not work.
What plugin?
Sorry miswrote that, I updated to the latest version (5.3) after the installation the date picker was acting weird. I reinstalled the plugin (the events calendar) but the plugin was not the issue. The date picker didn’t work with any date picking input in any plugin.

5.3.1 was re;eased yesterday, which has some date/time improvement. Try updating to 5.3.1
Updated, still not working, I reinstalled WordPress and its still the same. This is a very old website and a very old theme. Could it be a jquery issue? maybe its not using the latest version of jquery

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
If it is a theme conflict, what files could be affecting this? And why would the theme be affecting the dashboard(date picker was working fine before i updated)? As for the plugin the date picker doesn’t work with other plugins (Im using the date picker mostly in The events calendar)
Going to try what you suggested see if it works w/ all plugins dispabled/changing theme.
