    Hi there,

I want to use the plugin but it seems like the translation file is not properly working. I’m using German and both back and frontend of the plugin operate in mixed languages.

This makes the plugin currently unusable. How can I fix this? How can I make the language files work properly?

Hello @taschmahal, translations are waiting for approval by WordPress team and this could take some time. In the meanwhile, until we get translations approved, you can download them manually from our svn and replace the ones in your plugin installation.

Here you can find our latest translations, not yet approved by WordPress translate team:

Thank you! How do I activate them in the plugin installation?

Hello @taschmahal, language pack files are downloaded to wp-content/languages/plugins folder.
You can put there .po and .mo files we distribute with the plugin, so these translations are used instead of published ones.
Let us know if this works on your installation.

Okay, I translated additional fields in the PO and MO files but still they don’t show up. I uploaded the files to both wp-content/languages/plugins and wp-content/plugins/wp-live-chat-support/languages

One example where it still fails, even though the english sentence got translated inside the PO and MO-files: Image

Any help is appreciated. Up until the issue isn’t solved, the plugin hast no use for us unfortunately :/

Hello @taschmahal, there are a lot of sentences you can customize directly from Live Chat configuration. Check Settings -> Offline Messages.
