Error on Title Character Count

    Hi folks,

    I have just installed V3.3 and find the following issue.

    I am getting a RED box around ALL my title character counts – which were all correct on the previous version.

    It seems the character count is now incorrectly calculated, as follows.

    Using sample post title of “Test for HKP books”, it also adds the author’s name ” ~ John Doe”.

    Thus the total post title is “Test for HKP books ~ John Doe” = 29 character count actual.

    However AIOSEO 3.3 Preview Snippet now renders is as follows: “TEST of HKP Books ~ by %post_author_firstname% %post_author_lastname%” = 69 characters which is >60, therefore red box error highlighted.

    Given that “~ by %post_author_firstname% %post_author_lastname%” = 59 characters (and is independent of the actual author name) – the error is inferring I have only 9 characters left for the post title – which is obviously wrong 🙂

    @hiskingdomprophecy thank you for reporting this. We are aware of this issue and will fix this soon – https://github.com/semperfiwebdesign/all-in-one-seo-pack/issues/2718.

    In our latest update we refactored the preview snippet and character counter code as what we had before was quite limited and dated. You are correct that we now for example also count the characters of the title format (macros). Unfortunately, by improving our code and functionality, a number of pre-existing bug might come to light and be more obvious (such as this one).
