    Hi team,

I’m doing some repairs to a website, and have moved it to a staging environment.
I have updated all plugins to the latest versions.
The multilevel donation DROPDOWN function doesn’t work on the staging site. I can use Button or Radio to display the various levels, but not Dropdown.

Looking at the original site (plugins NOT updated) I see that the same problem applies on the individual page: (http://www.fundisatrust.co.za/donations/general-donation/) but elsewhere on the site we are using a pop-up, and this does show the amounts in a dropdown menu.

    Can you help?

Also on the staging site, when I submit the donation form, I get this error:
“We’re unable to recognize your session. Please refresh the screen to try again; otherwise contact your website administrator for assistance.”

I believe this may have to do with caching, but I don’t know how to fix that!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

With a testing site that I have here, I was unable to replicate the issue. This leads me to believe that this is unique to your site, as we haven’t had any other customers having this same issue.

The first step is to see if there are any third-party plugins that are getting in the way. Incompatibilities can sometimes result from additional files loaded by your site.

An excellent troubleshooting tool that we have at our disposal is a plugin called Health Check.

We have an article with a video of how to walk you through getting set up and how to use it.
    https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/troubleshoot-wordpress-websites-health-check/

Outlined are the steps to take to find the issue:

    1. When you enable troubleshooting mode, it will deactivate all of the active plugins and make the theme of your site Twenty Seventeen. You can feel safe knowing that your users will still only be viewing your live site.
    2. Only activate Give from the dropdown at the top of the admin panel.
    3. Attempt to interact with the dropdown on the form, and see if it’s functioning properly now.
    4. If it resolves you know that the issue is either the theme or a plugin. Start by re-enabling your theme, and then going through the plugins one at a time. Once the issue returns you have found the culprit.

Once you find the problem let me know what it was and I will assist you further.

Have an awesome rest of your day!

    Hi there,

I’m going to mark this ticket as resolved, but if there is anything else you need don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Thanks.
