I have two different wordpress sites in two subdirectories of the same domain (not multisite, but two installs).

I have Blog2Social working in one of them, and I like the plugin so I wanted to install it in the second one as well. However, I can’t connect to the Facebook account.

I think it is because I’m trying to connect the plugin twice to the same Facebook account (I only have one, and Facebook doesn’t allow me to have another one). Both sites would be posting to different Facebook pages I manage.

    Is this possible?

(by the way, when I activated the plugin on the first site, I allowed it to post to both those pages and accepted every other standard suggestion)

  • Hello @pattyjansen,

    Thanks for reaching out.
You can connect your your Facebook account on different WordPress sites with Blog2Social. Furthermore, you can connect your account multiple times and even connect the same account on different WordPress sites as well with Blog2Social.

To understand what is happening would you be so kind to describe what happens when you try to connect your Facebook account with Blog2Social on your second site?

May I ask if you encounter any notification?

    Facebook says:

Sorry, something went wrong: Please try closing and re-opening your browser window.

    Which doesn’t work.

    Hello@ pattyjansen,

    Thanks for your reply.
It sounds like this could be an issue with your browser. I would suggest trying these troubleshooting steps for your browser:

Be sure you don’t have any third party add-ons installed on your browser that may be preventing the ads to show up.

If you’re seeing a problem with how Facebook appears in your web browser, you could have a cache or temporary data issue.

1- You can try clearing your cache and temporary data. You can do this from your web browser’s settings or preferences. You’ll need to use instructions specific to your browser version and your operating system (ex: Mac, PC).

2- If this doesn’t solve your issue, it may be because you’re using third-party browser extensions. We recommend disabling these add-ons before accessing the site again.

3- You can also try using a different web browser.

Clearing my cache doesn’t work. I’m not running any extensions that I wasn’t running when I successfully installed and connected the plugin on the other site. I’m not running any plugins that don’t run on the other site. I’ve logged out of Facebook. I can’t log into Facebook via the plugin on this site. I’m out of ideas.
