    Hello,

I utilize a few plugins that use the Jetpack/WP.com API. Upon upgrading to WP 5.2.3, I am receiving the following error message when trying to authorize these plugins to Jetpack:

“Your site is incorrectly double-encoding redirects from http to https. This is preventing Jetpack from authenticating your connection. Please visit our support page for details about how to resolve this.”

I followed all the troubleshooting on this page and it is not resolving the issue: https://jetpack.com/support/double-encoding/

When running the test to see if double encoding is actually happening, it appears to not be.

I then tested on a dummy domain name with NO SSL cert installed and still received the same double encoding error.

The sites are running PHP7.3, an Apache server and utilizing Litespeed.

Please let me know if I can provide any more details to help troubleshoot and resolve.

What is the URL of the site with the problem?

    Hi James,

Here is one of them: https://evolvecounselingutah.com

We then put on a test and tried this out on a clean install of WordPress without an SSL cert: http://www.brightervisionrules.com

We received an error message when trying to connect again, but never received the email to the Admin stating the details.

Here was the email for evolvecounselingutah.com:

    “Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Jetpack by WordPress.com.

First, visit your website (https://evolvecounselingutah.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (URL Removed as the URL is not throwing off the same error anymore)

We just tested disabling Litespeed in case that was the cause but that did not work either.
