Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
– reading http://wordpress.org/support/topic/279132
– disabling Google Gears if you have that running/installed within Firefox.

No sorry to say that still doesn’t do the trick. The postings are still not consistent among the different browsers and even at different launching of the same browser. Can someone else help???

I just helped a person who was having similiar problems. The culprit was the wp super cache plugin. He had uninstalled it through the wp admin, but there were still meg’s of stuff in his wp-content directory as well as entries in his .htaccess file and wp-options table. Once we got rid of all the stuff the plugin left behind that cleared his problem.

figaro- thanks for the suggestion… uninstalled the super cache plugin but what do I need to look for in the wp-content directory to get rid of it all. Some things got better but my widgets are still not consistent in showing through different browsers. Any additional insight would be greatly appreciated.

We are having similar problems with a number of sites…consistent with upgrade to 2.8.xx, although with vastly different WP sites (some with WPremix, some with very simple Themes).
Can not Post (although title shows up-nothing else does)
Have deactivated plugins, to no avail.
Tried going into the DB and was able to manually add text to Posts.
Plugins: NextGen, EventCalendar and EventCalendar Widget
One customer desperately needs to Post activities and we are anxious to fix…any ideas out there?

Still having problems on site and getting different images through different browsers… also not all widgets showing. I would appreciate some help from somewhere. This has effected my site for well over a month now. PLEASE HELP 🙂 Someone has to have some suggestions.

The problem has not gone away. The widgets and the header are not showing up when using firefox or chrome. PLEASE HELP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>admin?
