    Hi,

    I appreciate that this issue is almost certainly not specific to this plugin, but I’m at a complete loss with this now…

    I am running WordPress version 5.0.3 and using a child theme of Twenty Seventeen version 2.0 (same issue on plain Twenty Seventeen) and the front page section is displaying the shortcode rather than the content. (The page used for the front page section (http://hopecommunitychurch.me.uk/what/) works fine on its own.)

    Any suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated, Andy

    Hi there,

    It could be how TwentySeventeen uses panels for the home page – I suppose it’s possible that the panels can’t render shortcodes?

    Have you made many edits to the child theme?

    Hi Tom,

    Many thanks for your quick response and apologies for not replying sooner. I have very few edits to the child theme.

    Here is the odd thing. I have now moved the WP Show Posts shortcode up to the second section/panel on the front page and it works perfectly. It seems that for whatever reason, it doesn’t like following on from the Event Calendar shortcode, which I have now moved down to the third section/panel, below WP Show Posts.

    I’ll eventually uncover the issue, but I’m convinced it is not an issue with WP Show Posts, so I’ve marked the thread as resolved.
