    Hello,

I am trying to create a feed with only items in each subcategory for men and women. when i try to include men’s tank tops only it still adds women’s tank tops. If i do rule to add men’s tank tops only and a rule excluding women’s tank tops the feed is empty. If i just make a rule to exclude women’s tank tops it excludes all tank tops and adds everything else from my store. Can you advise me on how to do this the correct way? I’m trying to do it this way so i can have the feed show gender for the items.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi ghostgear101,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

We have written a few blog articles about how to create filters. Did you read them?
    https://adtribes.io/create-a-product-feed-for-one-specific-category/
    https://adtribes.io/how-to-create-filters-for-your-product-feed/

It should be perfectly possible to create a filter so products from just one category are in the feed. When the blog article is not helping you, can you than send us the debug.log file so we can see how exactly you have configured your feed and filters?

See this blog article about how to get the debug.log:

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Eva

    Hello,

That didn’t work. it still adds both men and women items. Each are under separate parent categories but use the same name for subcategory.

    Hi ghostgear,

That than is the problem. When the subcategory names are identical than when creating a rule or filter on it that rule or filter will apply on both.

We’ll see if we can build is some improvements in the upcoming releases for the plugin to take the category-hierarchy into consideration but for now there is no way of solving this, other than renaming one of your subcategories so they are no longer identical.

    All the best,
    Eva

We are going to close this issue for housekeeping reasons now. Your request has been added on the wishlist and will be picked up in one of the future releases.

    All the best,
    Eva
