Hello. I have a few questions about this plugin:

    1. Is the plugin free, or does it require payment? This page seems to indicate that there is a 30-day free trial. After that 30 days, does it require payment?

    2. I see the plugin offers page caching, which, “Store static HTML copies of your pages and posts to reduce the processing load on your server and dramatically speed up your page load time.” What if I make a change to one of those pages–how will I ensure the user’s browser loads the newly edited page, rather than the cached HTML copy?

    3. I see the plugin offers browser caching: “Store temporary data on your visitors devices so that they don’t have to download assets twice if they don’t have to.” I have a similar question. If I edit one of these files (e.g. CSS file, JS file, etc), how will I ensure the user’s browser loads this new file, rather than the old, cached version?

    Thanks.

    Hello there

    I trust you’re doing good today! 🙂

    1.
HummingBird has a free version (the one here in wp.org) and a pro version, which you can get when you acquire the premium WPMUDEV membership (includes 30 days of trial). For more info, please have a read in the following article:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/wpmu-dev-premium-wordpress-plugins-for-free/

    2.
Page Caching is providing 3 ways for that: Manual, Automate and None.
    https://monosnap.com/file/3S4eS30Vr4vljbaxAAo3MPusID6YBF
You can set it to Automate and rest assured that when a page is being edited, a new cached copy will be generated.

    3.
Browser Caching can’t be cleared from your end, but only in the browser itself. Using it in combination with Page Caching though, won’t create any misbehavior though, especially in cases of page/post edits. Also dynamic generated assets use some versioning in order to surpass that. It’s always preferable though, to activate all caching mechanisms after web development is over.

    Hope that was some help!
    Take care,
    Dimitris
