i am also now getting mixed content errors as the link is http (the affiliate links are all http) – i think before the update this wasn’t an issue as it was not part of a form?
Hi there,
I just had a look at that page and the parameters do still show up for me. Here’s a link to the form action part of the link (which controls where the user is sent):

Link to image: http://cld.wthms.co/wiGOD9
Hope it helps.

thanks. yes, the url in the form shows the full url, but when clicked it is missing the ?url=xxxx
if you expand the arrow on the section you highlighted you see
<input type=”hidden” name=”id” value=”11299″>
but there should also be something like
<input type=”hidden” name=”url” value=”xxxxx”>
this is missing

is it possible to get a copy of the external.php before it was changed to a form structure to test if this fixes if i revert?
Sure thing, you can get older versions of the WooCommerce at https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/advanced/ –> Look at the bottom for “Previous Versions” 🙂

thanks. do you know why this file was updated the way it was so i can understand what risk i may take by using the old file?

p.s. downloaded from 3.1 and replaced the external.php file and links are working as they should now…. still would like to know what caused the issue tho if you have any ideas?
Please fix this link issue on the next update. I have the same problem

@irongenetics96 i thought i was going crazy… spent all day trying to figure this one out!
there is also an issue in that now the links are wrapped up in a form, if any external links are http rather than https you get a non secure warning in the browser which doesnt happen with the old version of external.php
I do not know why they changed it in the 3.4 update, external links worked fine before. Now we can´t even track this new weird button
So is there a change in the next woocommerce update or do we have as affiliates to use versions before 3.4 forever?
Worst part is: On some affiliate programs you can´t get commission anymore because of the non existent referrer
@divithmeeexamples
Did you made the rollback to 3.35 or prior?
I think you have to do a rollback on divithemeexamples too. It is a woocommerce issue after the 3.4 patch , i have the same problem too…
