im trying to make product with variations (each variation has its own image)
from 4 attributes.. i want to let the image swap when selecting different attributes (different variations)

everything works fine, untill i change the “age” attributes (0-4 years, 2-5 years).. then the image that i get to see is the featured image.. after i get the featured image (product image) and i change the age attribute again..(or any other attribute) i get the right image… the price is changing according to my variation settings.. so that is working fine…

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

I’ve just tested the product you’ve linked to and it appears to be working correctly now. When selecting the “age” attributes, the appropriate image is displayed, not the featured image. Have you already solved this?

    he.. it is not working
when i select the first color.. then diy, then 2-5, the featured image is showing..
just change the age swatch and the featured image (the green chair WITH NAME) is showing

    Also have the same issue.

Image goes back to featured image every other variation click. Doesn’t matter which variation is selected. Even if you have 4 variations and you go thru them in any order, it will always bring back the featured photo every other click. However, if you mouse over the picture with the wrong picture displayed, it will show the bigger picture of the correct variation picture.

The workaround I have found out is to upload the variation pictures in the product gallery, then it will go to that specific picture.

Hopefully we will get a fix though.

    Hi @enterwebdevelopment,

Could you please clarify how you have set up your variables? What plugin are you using for the swatches? You can send a screenshot using https://snag.gy/ to add the shareable link to this thread.

When I try replicating something similar, with just the core set up, I’m unable to replicate this behavior:

    Front end:

    Link to image: http://cld.wthms.co/KqtulQ

If you could clarify exactly how you’ve set this up, that would be great. Also, I’d check for theme/plugin conflicts.

Try uploading the plugin [Health Check](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/). It is a tool that can be useful for debugging. You can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re logged in to that session without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Go to Dashboard > Health Check > Troubleshooting tab > Enable troubleshooting mode. You’ll be prompted at the top to activate a default theme. Please activate the Twenty Seventeen theme. Then, go to Plugins. You’ll see all plugins have been deactivated. Please activate only one -WooCommerce core.

If it shows correctly, then it’s a theme or plugin conflict. Reactivating each plugin one at a time, then see if the issue pops up again will tell us which plugin is conflicting.

    hey @yukikatayama,

    thanks for your respond…
here you can see a screenshot of my problem

when i enable healthcheck, disable all plugins (except woocommerce core) and change the theme to twentyseventeen the problem is still there (see screenshot)

my variations are setup as below

if it is easier, i can make a login for you so you can see it for yourself… ?

Hey there @enterwebdevelopment! I’ve worked through the entire thread, including your latest screenshots – thanks for those!

I’ve set things up on my end exactly as you have it set up in your screenshots, but I still can’t replicate the problem. As this is free support, I’m not able to log into your site to take a look. This is as far as we can help.

I have two suggestions for you:

    1. Set up a staging site and test further there

It’s best if you setup a staging site to test on so your main live site is never affected. Some hosting companies provide a staging site feature with their hosting packages that make it easy to created an exact duplicate of your live site for testing.

If your hosting company does not have this type of functionality you can use a plugin like WP-Staging which can help you create one:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

Once you’re there, do a full conflict test without Healthcheck. Healthcheck is great, but it may be masking other problems.

If it shows correctly, then it’s a theme or plugin conflict. Reactivating each plugin one at a time, then see if the issue pops up again will tell you which plugin is conflicting.

    2. Work with a Woo Expert

If the staging site and conflict test doesn’t solve it, then I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

They’ll be able to dig into your site and help you figure out exactly what’s going wrong. Having that staging site ready will already be helpful.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
