Last version 1.7 changes the behavior destructively

    After updating the plugin to the latest version on all the sites I maintain, they all started behaving incorrectly, compared to the previous versions. Here are the problems:

    1. The titles that used to display under the images are no longer visible
    2. Slight custom styling added no longer works, like the reduced border and border color
    3. Disabling the FancyBox option in NextGEN gallery breaks the gallery functionality, there are no longer arrows to navigate to the next/previous image
    4. Changing the Auto Gallery setting to fix the above starts pulling images from the sidebar as if part of the same gallery even though they are not related
    5. Even the title font styling changes if #3 is implemented

    On the site I indicated, I reverted back to 1.63 which returned the expected functionality as it has always behaved. On the following site, the missing titles below the images in NG galleries is obvious.

    I’m sure all the followers of Easy Fancybox will be delighted to maintain consistent behavior from one version to the next. Appreciate the highly functional plugin and I look forward to continuing using it.

    I had to find a fix for the image titles in the link I gave the following gallery still does not display the titles it used to display:

    Hi Cemal, it seems NexGEN has changed a lot over the years. Are you not able to simply use its own included light box? It should be better for your site load times instead of running two light box plugins…

    In any case, looking at your sites I see no more issues. You seem to have been able to fix it. Can you share the settings you found to be working so I can update the instructions in the FAQ’s ?

    @ravanh, thank you for your work. I reverted the Lightbox settings in NextGEN Gallery to use Custom and added the following line in the code box:

    class=”fancybox” rel=”%GALLERY_NAME%”

    I have been using a secondary lightbox to handle other images outside the NextGEN Gallery and also show videos in the lightbox. Maybe I should reevaluate my needs and see if all can be handled by NGG lightbox.

    Thank you in any case for making this plugin available, I may still stick with it!

    Sure you may stick with it. Specially if you need it for video and other stuff, you might find it difficult to use the one that comes with NextGEN (or does it do video too?)

    With the NextGEN light box option set to Custom, you should be fine. There is no additional light box script loaded anymore so your sites should be faster than before 🙂

    I have tried using just the built-in Fancybox to NGG, but it is more cumbersome than using EFB, I’m sticking with your plugin! Thanks again,
