Page Not Found when Saving

    I am trying to add HTML to a Post in WordPress and every time I try to save it, I get an error almost immediately upon saving:
    This page isn’t working
    didn’t send any data.
    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

<h2>Introduction</h2>
<p> Hello and welcome to my first build I deemed worthy of putting up for all to see. This build is a three part build and by far my favorite build for completing content including all dungeon hard modes as well as Maelstrom runs! With this build you can achieve just shy of 30k DPS on a 3 mil dummy and have a nearly unlimited amount of healing.<br>
  Outside of the major one shots you'll be able to heal through just about anything maintaining your rotation and having a nearly 100% uptime on <a href="https://www.elderscrollsbote.de/set=80">Bahraha's Curse</a>. This is a lightning heavy attack build, meaning resource management is not a problem.<br>
  As I said before this build is my favorite build for completing maelstrom and solo farming world bosses.<br>

<p>Resources are managed entirely through the rotation and can be supplemented with trash potions. No need for expensive Spell Power Pots!<br>

  <p>Maelstrom Staff: The staff isn't necessary for this build and you can complete VMA along with everything else without it. However, with the amount of damage that it buffs your light and heavy attacks it will add between 3-4k DPS to this build.  </p>

    It makes no sense to paste a lot of that into a post/page; all you need is the content and none of the header information. Just the stuff between the <body> tags, in text mode in the editor.

    In the future, please paste stuff at gist.github.com and paste a link to that here.

    Yes, at the moment I can. It’s just sometimes that it doesn’t let me save it.

    If you can replicate it with just “hello”, then we can forget about the proper content of a page and just focus on the saving of a post. Maybe we can get an error message if you enable wp_debug….

    Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

    You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Thank you. I enabled those and will review the logs when it happens. Strangely enough, I was trying to make updates on a page and it kept happening, and then when I enabled it the issue didn’t happen. It’s very intermittent and only happens when updating one specific page(the one that has a lot of HTML content).

    The error was generated again, but there is no error log located at wp-content/debug.log….. suggestions?

    Interestingly enough, I went to access the “All Pages” page, and also got the same error. This link is what generated the same error: http://www.esoguardians.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

    Do you think it has something to do server side? I can’t seem to generate logs on my side and it seems to happen on multiple pages…

    The only potential “red flag” I see is that you’re using an old version of PHP. Ask your host to updgrade you to 7.x. But that shouldn’t be causing this problem.

    I’m trying to hold off on the PHP upgrade because apparently I’m on an old hosting plan and to upgrade everything, I need to manually move all of my content from one server to another. Not sure if this will fix the PHP issue(or even the page not found issue), but it’s not a transition I’m looking forward to.

    I did notice this on the Health Check page, not sure if it makes a difference…

    I upgraded from PHP 5.4 to 5.6. I can’t go to 7 because I’m on an outdated hosting plan and need to migrate. Problem is that I would need to migrate everything manually and not looking forward to moving this wordpress over…
