Description

A WordPress plugin for displaying posts and terms (e.g., categories) using a Gutenberg block. Works well with posts, pages, custom post types, taxonomies, and terms.

View Documentation and Overview

The plugin currently has three blocks:

Post Type Archive Mapping

This plugin also allows you to map your custom post type archive pages. Just create a page and go to Settings->Reading to set the page for your archive.

Ensure your post types have has_archive set to true.

You can also map term archives to pages by editing a term in the admin area.

  • Select a Public page to use as your post type archive page.
  • View the archive and you will see the page content instead of the archive content.
  • Use page templates on your pages for flexibility.
  • Custom Gutenberg block for showing your posts.

Term Archive Mapping

This plugin also allows you to map your term archives to a page. Just create a page and go to edit your term to set the archive page.

  • Create a public page to use as your term archive.
  • Visit the edit term page and select the page.
  • View the term and you will see your selected page.
  • Use Gutenberg on your public page to customize the archive.

404 Page Mapping

This plugin allows you to map a page to your 404 page, so you can customize as needed.

The plugin is good, but I have tried it with the Twenty Twenty theme, I went to create a post grid. It worked fine until I unabled the featured images. That broke the design, making the posts stack one after the other (breaking the grid).

It is working! Yes! (custom post types generated with the Custom Post Types plugin, theme GP child, custom template is not working with my theme, but I am using Gutenberg blocks to design custom posts, and this plugin can show them on a page)

Finally, a block that pulls in any custom post type / taxonomy. Awesome job, does exactly what's needed.

Thanks for this very specific query block plugin, with key settings/features to allow a site builder to create archive displays by a CPT or term/taxonomy by configuring a block on a Page and being able to set that as a an archive page. The developer(s) do an amazing job of using core features and adding new options within existing settings.

I've been looking a long time for a plugin like this. It: - is able to handle custom types - supports pagination - is able to handle custom taxonomies
