IPS Order Media Cleanup helps shop managers review their media library. It finds exact file duplicates and known media references, provides a test run, and keeps temporary recovery copies before cleanup.

The free edition includes manual analysis, duplicate and unused-media review, cleanup, recovery, alternative-text editing and CSV reports. WooCommerce is required for background processing.

No matching reference means no reference was found in the supported sources. Review these results before cleanup. Builder-specific or unknown references can block automatic changes. A missing alternative text is a review hint: decorative images can intentionally have empty alternative text.

Storage estimates describe potential savings. Recovery copies continue to occupy storage until their retention period expires. The plugin does not compress or resize images.

Installation

Install and activate WooCommerce.
Install and activate this plugin.
Open IPS > Media Cleanup and start an analysis.
Review candidates, run a test and confirm cleanup. Recovery is required for changes.

FAQ

What does Pro add?: The separately distributed Pro edition adds daily or weekly analyses, up to 30 completed analysis snapshots from the last 30 days, and optional email reports when counts change. All manual analysis, cleanup, CSV exports, alternative-text editing and recovery remain available in the free edition. Pro does not delete media automatically.
Does this plugin delete media automatically?: No. Cleanup requires an explicit action. Background analysis only discovers and reviews media.
Can I restore media?: The recovery view restores the original media ID, existing image variants and recorded references while the backup is retained. Conflicting later edits stop restoration. Recovery is temporary and complements your shop backups. Before saving a recovery copy, the plugin checks a harmless temporary file through your own upload URL. Cleanup stops if access protection cannot be verified. Apache/IIS access rules are created automatically; Nginx requires the host to deny web access to the ips-mediacleanup-recovery directory.
Where is the build source?: The WordPress.org package includes the free React source, dependency lockfile and build-instructions.txt. It uses WordPress-provided React and i18n.
