Description
DonaPar is a donation platform for nonprofit organizations in Paraguay.
This plugin connects your WordPress site to your DonaPar account and
displays your donation form wherever you want it.
It does not replace your DonaPar account and it does not duplicate it: it
is a window into it. Your campaigns, suggested amounts, payment methods
and donor records all continue to live in DonaPar, and anything you
change there appears here without touching your site.
What it does
- A DonaPar block for the WordPress editor.
- A
[donapar_campaign]shortcode for classic themes and page builders
such as Elementor, Divi or WPBakery. - One single thing to configure: your organization identifier.
What it does not do, and why that matters
- It does not process payments. The form is displayed inside an
iframe served from your own DonaPar subdomain, and card details are
typed into the payment processor’s own form inside that iframe. - Card details never pass through your WordPress site, this plugin,
or your server. That is not a technical footnote: it is what keeps
putting a donation form on your site from making you responsible for
cardholder data. - It stores no key or password on your site. The plugin only needs
your organization identifier, which is public: it is the address of
your own DonaPar page. - It stores no donations and no donor data in your WordPress database.
How it looks
The form uses Shadow DOM, so your theme’s styles cannot affect it and it
cannot affect yours. It behaves the same in classic themes and block
themes, and it adapts to the width of the column you place it in.
Requirements
You need a DonaPar account. Displaying the form outside donar.com.py is
part of the Pro plan; if your plan does not include it yet, the plugin
tells you so in Settings DonaPar instead of leaving an empty space on
your page.
Note: this plugin’s own interface is in Spanish, the language of the
organizations it serves. It is fully translation-ready and ships with a
translation template.
External services
This plugin communicates with DonaPar, the service where your donation
form lives. Without that communication the plugin has nothing to show.
1. Permission check — https://api.donar.com.py
Contacted when a page containing the form is displayed, and from the
settings screen. It sends your organization identifier and this site’s
domain. It is used to find out whether your organization may display the
form on this site, and to explain why not when it may not. No visitor
data and no donor data is sent.
2. Widget script — https://cdn.donar.com.py/embed.js
Loaded in the browser of anyone visiting a page where you inserted the
form. It is the code that creates the form.
3. The form itself — https://YOUR-ORGANIZATION.donar.com.py
Loaded inside an iframe, in the visitor’s browser. This is where a person
completes the donation and where payment data is handled.

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to Settings DonaPar and enter your organization identifier.
It is the first part of your page’s address: if your page is
techo.donar.com.py, your identifier is
techo. - In DonaPar, under your public page settings, add this site’s domain to the allowed domains. The plugin’s settings screen shows you exactly which one to copy.
- Insert the DonaPar block in the editor, or paste [donapar_campaign] wherever you want the form to appear.
The order matters little, but the form does not appear until the domain is registered in DonaPar. The settings screen tells you which step you are on.

Why is the form not appearing?

The Settings DonaPar screen tells you the exact reason. The two
usual ones are that this site’s domain has not been registered in
DonaPar yet, or that your plan does not yet include displaying the form
outside donar.com.py.In the meantime, visitors see a link to your DonaPar page, so they can
still donate. -
Do I need an API key?

No. The plugin only needs your organization identifier, which is not
secret: it is the address of your own page. No credential is stored on
your site. -
Why do I have to register the domain in DonaPar and not here?

Because anyone can install a plugin. If a site could register itself,
anyone could put your organization’s form on a page that is not yours and
receive donations that appear to be for you. Registration happens from
your DonaPar account, which is where it can be verified that it is you. -
Does it work with my theme?

Yes. The form sits inside an iframe with Shadow DOM, so your theme cannot
break it and it cannot break your theme. It works with classic themes and
with block themes. -
Does it work with Elementor or another page builder?

Yes. Use the
[donapar_campaign]shortcode in your builder’s shortcode
widget. -
Can I show one specific campaign?

Yes:
[donapar_campaign id="abc123"], or the Campaign ID field in the
block. Without it, your featured campaign is shown, the same one your
DonaPar page shows. -
Can I put it on more than one page?

Yes, as many as you like. The script loads only on the pages where you
inserted the form. -
What happens if I uninstall the plugin?

The identifier saved on this site is deleted. Nothing in your DonaPar
account is touched: your campaigns, your donations and your registered
domains stay as they are.
