Posted 2 years ago #Awesome plug-in! I just downloaded it tonight, using it for the first time and I think I'm going to have to support the product because it was so painless to use.
Just one minor question though, the category description isn't showing up anywhere. Is that a gold only feature or am I doing something wrong?

Can you please post the link to your site so that we can see what you mean... it should be there. Have a play with the shop settings though just to make sure. Otherwise post a support request in the forums www.instinct.co.nz/blogshop with links etc to the site in question and somebody will help...

Plying around with your plug here (maybe you get a swedish translation sent to you soon - but there are a certain amount of english outside the lanuage.php-file, so you might get a whole version).
In the help it says that you can get emailed each time someone buys something if you enter your email in the Purchase log - but there is nowhere to enter the adress! Is that a Gold only thing?
One more thing - the thumbnails. When resizing them, standard order is widht and height (not height and widht). Its extra confusing cause the dimensions are shown as it should be (widht x height) besides the image.
And one last things - th category image - where should it show up? It only shows up in my admin interface - not at the outside for everyone. Ideas?

You enter your email address in the shop options page. I might add a little pointer to that in the purchase log page - just to make it more obvious for you guys.
Not only can you upload files but if you grab the MP3 preview upgrade you can setup MP3 listen buttons for your sounds :)

Thanks for the info. It looks like a good product, and I was pleased to see the various examples of the shopping cart looking so varied in their styling.
I'll do a bit more research but I'll almost certainly give it a whirl to see if it's a suitable replacement for x-cart, which I've been using for a few years. If anything, the low price is a bit off-putting, but as a Scot I find that nothing is ever too inexpensive.

And the customers are not receiving either. Any idea? The payment log is displaying the orders. The website is www.paint-puddles.com if that helps.
And finally, I've been unable to get the RSS feed to work also. It seems to point back to the Instinct Dev site.

But thinking of integrate it at the future site of an environmental organisation I will make a site for. But need to custimize it some for that purose though... But from what I read at yor site - you are nice guys, so I hope you will let me.

lonetrotter - you can make changes we would just appreciate it if you released those changes back to us to add to the main plugin - that way when you update to the next version your mods are included, of course this is up to our discreation but if its a feature then the chances are that we will add it for you :)

Posted 2 years ago #Dan - I am still interested in contributing the quantity based shipping to the cart, and also, reduced item price based on quantity. Basically, you would have one item with a price for 1-9, 10-19 etc.
I would probably need a little assistance in jump starting the add on in the form of function location, program flow etc. Is this something you can help with ?

I am surprised that this question isn't popular:
The category images for instinct shopping cart will not show in the shop.
no matter the products page, the category page, i just can't get it to show up
It shows up when i upload the image when i create a category
but not in the shop
How do i get it to work, i have been going through the e-commerce options again and again and i don't see how to get it to work
i believe it isn't a gold version only feature
please help me ANYONE

Posted 2 years ago #This may or may not be a similiar problem to what Tom posted about ... on my products page the thumbnails show but the product description is obscuring the product image.
I've changed image sizes but with no luck as the product title also seems to default and fall across the image.

Sounds like an old K2 bug that has been fixed. I would make sure you are using the most up2date theme and plugin.>> DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION 3.4.7

Posted 2 years ago #Dan, we just downloaded the latest version 3.4.7 the other day to see if it made any difference, but no joy. We have also updated to WP 2.1.2
Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. From the post's we've read this is a fantastic plug-in once it is working.

You just need to change the settings in the shop options page.
Goto Shop Options > Presentation
Change the Cart Location to Sidebar :)

Would be very easy to add. The admin could simply select which countries and IP's to block. Then if someone wanted to use the cart from any of those listed countries, they would simply be re-directed to another page saying something like "We're sorry, we do not allow purchases from that area. Please contact the admin for furthur information". Anyone selling 'Virtual' products (anything downloadable or subscribed to) needs this as the credit cards and PayPal do not protect the merchant from these kinds of chargebacks.
On another note, what would cause the large gap seen here under the words 'Shopping Cart'? All we did was activate it and that's how it shows up...

Posted 2 years ago #If I buy it, will it work? I am using Wordpress 2.1.2 and Beta 3.4.7. So far I have had nothing but trouble. When you add items to the cart, they don't. The cart doesn't update because items aren't being added. What is going on? Im not using any other plugins (except one), just Wordpress 2.1.2, the widgets plugin and wp-e-commerce.

Posted 2 years ago #I love this plugin. Super easy to install and has tons of features. I was wondering if there might be a tutorial on it for those of us who aren't that great at figuring out how to incorporate it into our templates and customize it to look the way we want to?
