Here is how I am getting to my topic title.

    1. New wordpress install with latest.zip (2.9.1)
    2. Install any plugin it works just fine, I installed Google Analyticator and Contact Form 7 and no problems.
    3. Install WATS and after it’s installed
    4. All subequent plugin installs (WP-DB-Backup) get stuck at “Unpacking the package” stage. There is a .tmp file in the ../theme directory with the name of the plugin but it’s not installed.

    Thanks

I should add that uninstalling WATS will allow other plugin’s to install again.

Also, I am using the same database (copying over the wp-config.php) file after doing fresh installs while testing.

First time that I hear about this issue, I will take a look into it and come back to you.

Quick question : which release of WATS have you installed and is it running fine?

    Hello,

I have tried to duplicate the issue but I was unsuccessfull. Here is what I have done :
    – install WP 2.9.1
    – install WATS
    – install WP DB Backup and Contact Form 7

I was able to have all this running in this order without any issue.

So the problem should be coming from the way your host is setup.

    Are you running PHP 5?
Do you have the right directory access permissions?
Do you have enough diskspace to install all these plugins (WATS may be bigger than others)?
Do you have enough memory available?

FYI, I am using an Apache host with PHP 5.

I have also performed some researches and found out the following :

Apparently, there could be few reasons linked to this issue. Please try to increase memory, swith to PHP5 if you aren’t already in PHP5, etc…

Sorry about wasting your time. I am not sure if it had something to do with the data in the DB. I dumped the DB and did the same steps as above and I am having no problems.

The odd thing with the old data in the DB was that the problem only happened when WATS was installed.

Again sorry about wasting your time and thanks for your product!

Glad that it now works! Don’t hesitate to rate the plugin, write a review or make a donation if you like it!
