Apple Pay and Google Pay
-
Hi,
i just installed this plugin, everything works, but no Apple Pay nor Google Pay options show up.
Anything I need to setup or it doesn’t accept those payment methods?
Thank you,

Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us about our GoDaddy Payments plugin! My name is Amber and I’m happy to help out here.
Great news – GoDaddy Payments does support both Apple Pay and Google Pay, so you’re definitely on the right track! These digital wallet options make checkout super easy for your customers. However, there are a few settings you’ll need to enable to get them showing up on your site.
Here’s how to get Apple Pay and Google Pay working:
- Sign in to your WordPress admin
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments
- Look for GoDaddy Payments – Google Pay in the payment methods list
- Click Manage next to it
- Check the box to Enable this payment method
- Scroll down and click Save
Once enabled, you’ll see customization options where you can choose where to display these buttons (product pages, cart, or checkout).
A few important things to know:
- Your site needs to be using HTTPS (secure connection) for these digital wallets to work
- Apple Pay will only show for customers using Safari or Apple devices
- Google Pay will show for customers using Chrome and who are logged into their Google account
- The buttons appear automatically based on what browser and device your customers use
You can find the full setup guide here with screenshots that walk through each step.
Could you let me know if you see the GoDaddy Payments – Google Pay option in your payment methods list? This will help me make sure everything is set up correctly on your end.
Thanks! 🙂
All the best,Amber
I’m in Canada, using plugion version 1.7.7 and I don’t see the GoDaddy Payments – Google Pay option, nor any other option related to apple pay or google pay. The only payment Gateways I see related to GoDaddy are:
GoDaddy Payments and GoDaddy Payments – Selling in Person.Hey there,
Thanks so much for that extra detail – it really helps!I looked into this further and sadly, Apple Pay and Google Pay are not currently supported through the standalone GoDaddy Payments for WooCommerce plugin. This is actually expected behavior – not a setup issue on your end.
According to GoDaddy’s official payment methods documentation , here’s how digital wallet support breaks down:
GoDaddy Product Apple Pay / Google Pay GoDaddy Payments for WooCommerce plugin ❌ Not supported
Managed Hosting for WooCommerce ✓ Supported
Smart Terminal, Pay Links, Invoicing ✓ SupportedSo the two payment gateways you see – GoDaddy Payments and GoDaddy Payments – Selling in Person – are the only options available through this plugin right now.
If you’d like to offer Apple Pay and Google Pay to your customers, here are a couple of options:
- Use GoDaddy’s Managed Hosting for WooCommerce – This plan has GoDaddy Payments built in with Apple Pay and Google Pay support included
- Consider a different payment gateway – Plugins like Stripe or WooPayments (by WooCommerce) support Apple Pay and Google Pay for Canadian merchants
I know this isn’t the answer you were hoping for! Would you like more details on either of these options, or is there anything else I can help you with?
Cheers!
