Blog posts not generating rich results
-
Hi there,
I’m using Yoast SEO Free with the Flatsome theme. When I test my blog posts in Google’s Rich Results Test, they don’t generate any rich results.
What I’ve checked so far:
- In Yoast → Settings → Content types → Posts:
- “Show in search results?” is set to Yes
- Schema settings: Page type = Web Page (default), Article type = Article / Blog Post
- No per-post schema override in the Yoast Schema tab
- Featured image is set on the post
- Breadcrumbs are not yet enabled
- I inspected the Flatsome theme and didn’t see anything that disables
wpseo_schema_article
Despite this, my blog posts don’t generate any rich results — the Rich Results Test always shows “No items detected.” Here’s an example of a blog post you can check.
Questions:
- Should Yoast Free automatically output
Article/BlogPostingschema for blog posts (and make them eligible for rich results)? - Could this be a theme or plugin conflict, or a setting I might have overlooked?
I’d like to have blog posts show up as rich results (with
author,author.name,datePublished,dateModified,headline, andimage).Thanks in advance!
