But you seem to have nailed both. I’ve tinkered with my page, but that’s about the extent of my experience. When the attempt at the update broke, I was thinking that this page might be looking like this for a while, but kept fishing around ’til I found the FTP section of my hosting account, then went on to do the things you and mbeebee suggested.
