I read endlessly about choosing the category during the edit of a post. They all assume the categories will be sitting there for choosing. But there is no such box anywhere on a subpanel or the screen when I edit. The categories do exist; not only is there Uncategorized, but I added specific ones and saved them. My main post shows a Category box but none of the other posts do. Probably no category was chosen when the pages were first created but that would still assign the default of Uncategorized. Is it significant that my main page is found under ‘Posts’ on the Dashboard while the other pages are under ‘Pages’ on the Dashboard?Forum: Fixing WordPress

I was not aware of the ability to enlarge the picture by clicking on it. Thanks for mentioning it. That makes the picture quite legible. I know it isn’t the ultimate answer, which I may figure out someday, but I think I can work with that feature. I’ll tell the reader to click on the picture.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Can’t get a jpg to display in full sizeBlondishnet: Are you implying that there is no simple way, using the visual view especially, to get the jpg to behave and obey the height and width specs? I would have to do a good bit of research and learning to apply your fixes. Am I encountering a bug of some sort? Or am I making a rational error to imagine that I should be able to specify height and width in this situation?

In reply to: Can I use a special theme on a single page onlyThank you for the tip. I will see if I can successfully figure out how to apply page templates. The procedure looks pretty hairy, like every part of WordPress until you have been through it a few times.
