Thnaks i will try 3,4, and 1,3,4. So a unified login is possible across different domain names?
I have the multisite user management plugin installed so users are assigned to all sites. The login should just work for them…and it does without mapping a domain.
Finally got a dedicated ip for my site 🙂 now i can really see whats wrong. Will keep this updated incase anyone has a similar problem.
Yeah so even with option 4 unchecked, i still cannot check option 1. I am going to try moving this to a dedicated ip and then setup A name records. Will let you know how it goes.
The checkboxes 2, 3 and 4 are ticked.
When I click 1. Remote Login – It doesn’t apply and is blank again after pressing save. Right now I am contacting my host about getting a dedicated IP – then I can use the A Name method which might work for me.
Thanks for explaining that I think its clearer now.
I had remote login enabled before, but now its not letting me select it, I check remote login and hit save but its automatically unchecked.
Hi anmari,
the plugin is very useful it works perfectly and adds a nice personal touch to the emails im sending with subscribe 2 for registered users.
Unfortunately I need post meta/custom fields, and not just user meta. im sure i can figure something out using these two plugins.
Thanks for all your help guys.
ZeninThanks a lot MattyRob, did try adding everything you said (i probably went wrong somewhere) still not getting the desired result, will keep trying.
Will be getting the HTML version, keep up the great work!Anmari that looks like a great solution and exactly what i need, will try it out right now and let you know how it goes! thanks for telling me about the plugin.
hi MattyRob,
Thanks for the fast reply i will buy the HTML version for the image tag, but i still must get custom fields working
I have read that thread many times and while looking at all the files in the subscribe2 plugin folder i cannot find where he made the edits, i cant see any familiar code to replace (doesn’t seem to be much code in subscribe2.php)
Im not great at PHP i would very much appreciate it if you could make it simple for me by telling me the file i need to edit, and what lines needs replacing with what new code. This is the last thing i need working to make this plugin extremely powerful for my site.
Please help MattyRob
Kind Regards,
ZeninP.S. just a kind suggestion, It would also be good to add this in your documentation near where you have ‘post types’ and ‘custom taxonomies’ im sure others may need to know how to implement custom fields
