My problem is much the same, except it’s V2.01 that’s causing the problem.
“It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.”
Everything was working fine following installation, but today I received the above message.
My database is intact, my host exceeds the minimum server requirements as described in http://codex.wordpress.org/Hosting_WordPress and I’m assured mod_rewrite is enabled.
Suggestions and advice welcomed.
