Thanks so much for responding!
1) How are you rendering your form, are you using the [mc4wp_form] shortcode, the plugin widget or the template function? the widget didn’t seem to work so I added the code from Mail Chimp into the Newsletter Embed code section – see below. The subscribe works when you press the button – however I needed it to change when people press to subscribe – it says ‘Thanks for subscribing to our database’
2) What does your form mark-up look like?
