It was not set to geolocalisation but still when i put set it to “shop base” it solved the problem !

Hello,i am looking to asign a user to a specific group based in his registration process. I would like during the registration to have a checkbox or a dropdown menu (GROUP1, GROUP2) where the user can choose to which group he wants to be added.
My registration process is managed by buddyPress.
When i copy paste you code in functions.php, nothing changes in my registration form.
can you help me out please ?
