I’m facing the same problem, I don’t want my canonical url to be short url.
Even worse now I can’t disable shortn.it because Google indexed the short url. Disabling the plugin breaks everything, even Facebook open graph.

After activating Jetpack Comment addon, the reply box for question/answer doesn’t show properly.
