In reply to: [Comet Cache] Stick with the free versionKeep the $40. I was hopeful that your cache software was going to be a step above the usual. I wanted to support your team. That was a mistake on my part. Hopefully this post will keep others from making the same mistake I made.
FYI, I issued the report within two days of purchase. Jason responded to both my original request and then declined to offer a refund. He could have figured this one out pretty easily, but he opted not to.

In reply to: [Comet Cache] Stick with the free versionThese issues should have been addressed when I reached out for help in via your customer support. Had I known you would string me along until after the 30 days expired, I would have asked for a refund right away. You penalized me for the fact that I patiently waited 45 days for help, but none came.
These are all excellent reasons for users to stick with the free version, which is what this review is about.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Use it, but don't buy any plugins from WOOMike,
If you did not get paid every week, would you still create freeware? Even if you don’t see where your paycheck comes from, you have to realize it comes from somewhere. It isn’t written by unicorns on rainbow stationery.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Use it, but don't buy any plugins from WOOMike,
I appreciate the reply, and the problem solving.
Woocommerce is great and free, but it exists only because it has paying customers for its themes and other plugins.
Everything that Woo creates for the wordpress environment is GPL, and that is the catch: by purchasing those items, the consumer is really only paying for customer support. Otherwise, they could just download the nulled versions for free.
Bad reviews don’t have to be about the code, but the usability of it IRL. They can also critique the culture that created it. That is what I am doing here. While I did eventually get the help I needed (that is ongoing) it took 6 weeks and a lot of virtual yelling to get to that point.
Let’s compare this with another vendor in the WordPress environment, Modern Tribe. With them, I get an actionable response in less than a day and a complete solution in less than a week.
I do hope the culture of Woo moves toward supporting their customers with less friction.
Once this issue has been addressed fully, I’ll come back and adjust this review.
