It looks like you got it working. How did you do it? Many of us are having the same trouble.
I’m having the same issue. The forums haven’t been any help, so I tried deleting the home tab altogether. The problem with that is the Blog tab will never highlight. While it does link to the Blog posts, the tab not highlighting is a bit confusing for the user and just looks bad. I’m using the Studio Press theme on version 2.7RC1, BTW.
