In reply to: missing temporary folder error – advice much appreciated!Hi James thanks for your advice.
I reinstalled everything and I created a tmp folder.
Nothing worked out so far so I am moving to Hostgator.I hope everything will work out with a different host.
For some people it’s the only solution for this issue, apparently.
So worth trying.greetings from Belgium

The exact error is ‘missing temporary folder’, I’m afraid there’s nothing else to it.
I guess I’d better switch to Hostgator. My Dutch host says they really dont have a solution and that ‘there are limits to their support’.
So that is that.I guess It’s ok – to have an ‘oversea’ host for a European website? Server-wise?

In reply to: missing temporary folder error – advice much appreciated!PS My hosts also suggests changing path to: /home/deb73670/.cagefs/tmp or /.cagefs/tmp. Another possibility: /home/deb73670/domains/wondertext.be/tmp
Where in WordPress can I change paths?

In reply to: missing temporary folder error – advice much appreciated!Hello James
Thank you so much for your advice.
I tried changing the permissions for the uploads directory and the wp-content directory. But it’s still not possible for me to upload images.Or should I wait a few minutes before trying so changes can take place?
I read on this forum that the ‘missing a temporary folder’ issue has something to do with the php.ini file. And that hosts like Hostgator should be able to make that happen but some host dont. My host (a Dutch one) has been working for days to help me out on this issue. Which I appreciate. But I fear they dont know a solution on this one. Rather frustrating for both.
Should I direct my host to the php.ini thing?
Thank you forum crowd for helping me out.
