Exactly Otto42. Uncheck Ask.com in the sitemap generator configuration. Notthe plugin’s fault. This is an Ask.com fault.
It is doing it with the sitemap plugin. Uncheck the Ask.com option and everything will be fine again. I had the same issue (just popped up) and it was ask.com that was timing out.
Looks to me like submissions.ask.com is having trouble. When I tried to ping them it failed. If you uncheck the Ask.com box everything works just fine. (Who uses Ask.com anyway?)
Well, after some searching it looks like LightWindow will do the trick. Still, does anyone have any other ideas?
