In reply to: [CafePress Widget] Items not showingHello ph34r,
There is an issue with our API where certain shopkeeper products are not displaying. Give us a few days to work on it and I will get back to you.
Thanks for letting us know! 🙂
Best,
CafePress Widgets
Hi Kristen,
The error occurred because of the improper data derived from the “shop name” field. This should be your CafePress shop ID where no spaces and periods are allowed.
For instance, if my shop name is HELLOWORLD my shop ID from CafePress would be http://www.cafepress.com/helloworld. Therefore, in the “shop name” field I would insert “helloworld.”
Does that make sense? Let me know if that works!

Hello Kristin,
Could you provide us with a little more detail regarding your issue? For instance, what do you mean by “I entered data into the widget on the back end”? Are you referring to the widget section of wordpress or the add new post section? what is the short code that you used? Etc.
Let me know and thanks in advance!

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] Struggling to get the id/tag fields to workHi Colin,
Thanks for your detailed feedback.
That is correct – the current version of our widget is unable to display a specific design on a specific product. We have brought this up with our widget development team so you should see another update some time down the road. I apologize for the inconvenience!
Also, to answer your question regarding the short code you pasted above. There was an issue with shop filtering where it failed to filter the product name correctly – this should be fixed now.
The expected result from the short code you wrote should have displayed all product names with “xfit” characters in them from the shop called “choicegifts.” I tested it out and no products were returned on my end. However, there were results for this short code:
[cafepress products=”shop:choicegifts|zip” cols=”2″ rows=”2″]
Let me know if that helps!

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] How to refresh?Hi Olga,
This issue should be fixed – it was related to another bug in the system where the API failed to limit the result. Let me know if it works! =]

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] Struggling to get the id/tag fields to workHello Colin,
Thanks for your comment. To ensure that your plugin is working correctly, have you updated the CafePress widget to the current version? If so, have you tried to load products that are NOT in your shop (just to see if works)?
Thanks!

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] [Plugin: CafePress Widget] Extra row of CafePress productsHey Ken and Chrisroberts7577,
Thank you for your patience. We debugged the widget over the weekend and found there was an error in the API where it failed to return limited product results even when you passed a certain range. At any rate, it should work as intended now.
Please let me know if you have any more questions! 🙂

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] [Plugin: CafePress Widget] Extra row of CafePress productsHello Kgagne,
I am attempting to recreate the bug that you have described above but can’t seem to get it. Could you provide me with a step-by-step approach in how you came across it?
Thanks! =]

In reply to: CafePress widget disappears…Hello happylifehappywife,
The white square occurs when you don’t have any attributes in the string to call products from. Thus, when you installed it and looked at the widget immediately after it will come up blank.
Regarding the shop ID question, you should insert it as shop:ID with ID being your shop name.
Please give it a try and let me know how it goes! =]

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] [Plugin: CafePress Widget] It works, but…Hi WashingtonIsBroke,
Thank you for your comment. We are currently working on making the plugin more interactive so you can select products from different sections of your store.
Also, if you don’t want the designs to search from the CafePress Marketplace you will need to append “shop:” at the beginning of the plugin string. For example, “shop:washingtonisbroke” – this will pull products from your store where you will receive the full commission.
I hope that answers your concerns! 🙂
