In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] 404 on CPT pagesI am starting to suspect either a bug in Yoast SEO or some sort of conflict between Yoast SEO and CPTUI that may be causing this.
During one of my site’s 404 moments, when I disable Yoast SEO, the 404 disappears. Upon its reactivation, the 404 returns until I visit the permalink options page.
I have updated the Yoast SEO GitHub page with my findings.
I did notice that the Yoast SEO changelog mentions this:
4.2.1
Release Date: February 2nd, 2017
Bugfixes
Fixes a fatal error “Call to undefined method yoast_i18n::set_api_url()”. This error occurred with certain other plugins that also include the i18n-module.Does CPTUI include an i18n-module?

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] 404 on CPT pagesYes, absolutely. I’ve been analyzing the last modified time stamp on the various plugins to try and get a better idea of what may have changed around that time.
I did migrate the entire site from HTTP to HTTPS around then as well. Can you imagine this interfering with either CPTUI or CPT permalinks in general?

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] 404 on CPT pagesUnfortunately, because this is a production site, I can’t disable all the plugins aside from CPTUI for extended periods of time.
I can try rolling back to 1.5.1 to rule that out.
If I find anything noteworthy, I’ll report back. Thanks!

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] 404 on CPT pages@tw2113 The issue has returned once again after almost 24 hours. Due to its intermittent nature, troubleshooting has been tricky.
I tried disabling and re-enabling the Yoast SEO plugin and that resolved the issue (most likely temporarily). I don’t know if disabling the plugin may have simply flushed the permalinks, though.
Any chance you can take a look at my installation and see if anything stands out?

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] 404 on CPT pagesI was upgrading from 1.5.1.
Thank you for confirming that the update isn’t the likely cause of this behavior.
I will keep troubleshooting until I hopefully solve this.
Thanks, Michael!

In reply to: [WP-PostRatings] Support For WP-Fastest CacheHi Vadim, is there any way to implement your fixes in a way that won’t get overwritten when the plugin is updated?

In reply to: [WP-PostRatings] Mass Delete RatingsThanks for the quick reply.
If I understand correctly, that query would delete all ratings from post IDs 1-4000.
I may not have been clear enough in my original question. I’d like to delete the range of vote IDs 1-4000, not post IDs.
If it’s not too complex, please let me know if it’s possible.
I’m getting the same error as well.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Adding Checkbox to Custom FormHi Harish,
Thanks for the quick response.
Just to clarify, does that mean that it isn’t possible to integrate with a form that doesn’t use WordPress functions to send the email?

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Manually Re-Assign Page ID*RESOLVED*
By disabling all our plugins (we had a lot!) and re-installing the TML plugin after deleting it’s setting from the DB, we had much better luck.
Only a handful of extra pages were created. We then deleted those extra pages carefully, only removing the ones that had URLs that were not being used as permalinks within the front-end of the forms.
Hi Josh,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I was planning on using the plugin for affiliate links but I’m just not certain that cloaking the links are really better for CTR/conversions.
For example, I think when a person sees an amazon.com link in their status bar, they may actually be more inclined to trust the link and click through. I haven’t had a chance to split test this but it’s just a possibility that I’m factoring in before investing the time in converting everything over to your plugin without the option to revert back should the cloaking have a negative effect.
Regardless, the plugin looks great and I may still give it a shot.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Dropbox and Multiple WebsitesHey David,
Yikes. You know what, you must be right. I remember seeing a dialog box with a message about a premium feature for migrating to a different URL. In my haste, I just thought it was an upsell message.
Sounds like the mistake was on my end. Thanks for the quick response!

Gerroald- I’ll add my duplicate email issue here as well, in case it’s related to the same root problem.
I’m running v4.2.20 and am receiving duplicate emails for the Daily Security Digest. They seem to be sent about 1 minute apart.
WordPress is the latest stable version and using W3TC for caching, in case that’s relevant.
Thanks,
David
