In reply to: [WP-PostRatings] Different ratings per postsThank you very much for the quick reply. I figured as much after I played around in the files for a while.
Then the real challenge is that I am trying to give the user the option to only display posts that have NOT been rated and got into the files,
I know you have a function check_rated ($post_id) which would do the trick but couldn’t figure out how to use it to filter out the posts since my background is in python not php, so I gave up.Thank you for the reply though.
Yes. Go to your dashboard>Ultimate Member>User Roles>Choose the user role it applies to (from the roles you have listed)>Scroll down to the section titled: “Registration Options”> Second line: “Action to be taken after registration” >Choose “Show Custome Message”> Third line (line below) is a text box you can edit the message 🙂

In reply to: [Sydney] Restrict access to postsTried 2014-2016 none worked, they displayed the category “Members Only” in the archive section, but the blog page didn’t display the posts.
Once again the only place they were displayed accurately were inside the plugins: “Post Grid” and “Revolution Slider”.
Not sure if that helps either you nor I.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Restrict access to postsThanks, but I read that already when I first encountered the problem. I already had both “read more” option and “manual excerpts” on many of my posts to test for it and can’t seem to work. I even installed a “Post Grid” plugin to test for it and it seems to work fine using the plugin but nogo on the theme. I’ll dig for a default theme and give it a whirl.

In reply to: [Sydney] Restrict access to postsNot sure what you mean by default WordPress Theme, all my posts showed up in “my recent posts” section until I loaded PMP this morning.
Are you asking me to search and install WordPress default theme instead of Sydney and see what happens?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Menu background not transparent and Not Stickyworks on desktop, laptop, ipad in landscape mode.
Mobile devices or ipad in portrait mode will color the header and NOT stick.Oh well, I’ll just figure another way around this.

In reply to: [Sydney] Menu background not transparent and Not StickyThank you for your help, it kinda worked.
Now it is sticky but black not transparent.
I tried changing the #masthead.site-header… color to transparent and that only made it have a grey color.
Also the menu shrinks as I scroll down the page.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Menu background not transparent and Not StickyWhat I just discovered is that if I go into Customizing/Header area/Sticky menu and choose the “STATIC” option > the header background becomes transparent and of course NOT STICKY.
But when I switch back to STICKY option, it is no longer transparent and it is NOT STICKY neither.
Not sure if this information helps, and I still can’t find any added CSS code for .site-header.fixed{}Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Menu background not transparent and Not StickyThanks for the reply,
But I have not applied nor can I find the CSS code you mentioned in my child style.css
I’ve even searched my child php files as well.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Overlay transparentThanks. I went about it by declaring a local custom class and added the code to my child style.css
It is odd that I couldn’t target it directly when I can just enter the code in my browser and it works.
Oh well, I got it to work.
Thanks again.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] php closing ?> is missingThanks dbking. Interesting indeed. I’ll just slap the code at the end of the page and keep my fingers crossed.

In reply to: [Sydney] Display Post Title and Button on HoverHere is a similar example:
http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/projects/also if you look at the “Team” section of your demo download, that’s similar in nature to what I described above. The only difference is I want to apply that to the posts not to team member pages.

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Parallax is not even displayedA quick update. I deactivated all SiteOrigin widgets. Reactivated and the option appeared again.
All is good.
Please ignore.Yeah I was referring to the home page.
I am trying to find a way around it by using Page Builder and adding the recent post widget in it, that way I can position it anywhere I want on the page.
ThanksForum: Themes and Templates
