seems its caused by the “unfiltered_html” capability which authors do not possess…

I’m having the same problem and traced it to the author role. admins can embed youtube videos, but authors can’t! how can I change this?
(using wordpress 2.9.2)
funnily, the problem only occurs sporadically. Yesterday everything worked fine again – today the problem resurfaced. It makes WordPress unusable for me! Please anyone with any idea how to resolve this?
same problem here with v2.7 as well! just updated from v2.6 and never had the problem before.
