I’m having the same problem. I chose the pro masonry view. I also regenerated the thumbnails and the images are still blurry or fuzzy when viewed on my android. Other images not used with nextgen appear very sharp.
OK I see now that this is an ongoing concern by many. So my next question: is there another more secure option out there for people that want to use a contact form on their wordpress site? Right now I’m using Contact 7.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [MaxGalleria] Lightroom integration?Hi there Lightroom is an Adobe software that many photographers use in their workflow for cataloging, editing and publishing (eg publish to web) their work. There are plugins that are usually created by 3rd party developers (eg http://alloyphoto.com/) that allow you to publish your work in lightroom directly to your website, gallery etc. There are lightroom plugins for many online portfolio sites like smugmug, flikr, zenfolio etc. Nextgen gallery so far is the only wordpress gallery plugin that I see has a lightroom plugin.
Here is a link to lightroom for more info http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/photoshop-lightroom.html
The publishing capabilities with a lightroom plugin is really helpful since it skips the step of having to save your images somewhere to jpg first before uploading with your uploader. Lightroom converts your raw and tif image files upon exporting directly to the web/gallery. It keeps all your tags and meta data as well. Also another benefit is to be able to make an edit or change to a picture in the your lightroom catalogue and if that image is in your website or gallery all you have to do is click a publish button and your website gallery will update accordingly. So fast and easy! So many more benefits!!
Hope you guys will consider this in the future. In the mean time I feel kind of stuck with only using nextgen.
Problem resolved somehow.
In addition to my problem with nextgen not uploading, I noticed that my blog post links were not opening (I got an error 404)… so I contacted hostgator and they said that they changed the permalink back to default as it was set to post names instead. This somehow solved the blog post links and nextgen gallery started working and I was able to upload an image. I’m not sure if the hostgator tech did something else in the background that got nextgen to start working. Anyways, this is all a mystery to me … im hoping I’ll get a hang of this wordpress stuff some day 😉 mind you this is only my first day using it.THanks I sent in my bug report already but at the time I didn’t know to give login credentials. I will wait for them to contact me.

Hi Cais! No I wasn’t using lightroom for uploads… I just uploaded the normal/expected way via the plugin in wordpress. I also tried uploading various jpg image sizes.
OK I see others have the same error messages. I’ll read that post in case there is something that will help.
Edited to add: I read the thread where others had this problem and it didn’t help. The theme that I have running is a default wordpress theme and the NGG plugin is the first plugin that I installed. I can’t roll back the plugin either (that was a possible solution).
Hope there is a fix to this as I really want to try out Nextgen. If it works as I like then I hope to use the pro version. I don’t know of any alternative plugin that uploads via lightroom and has similar functionality as of yet.
