Thank you Denzel.
My problem was related to the version of WordPress.
It was not the latest one.
After the update it fixed the upload issue.

Guys have you tried to test the stand alone version online at your web servers?
I was facing the same problem when in localhost but when then I uploaded to my server and it works flawlessly.
