I am having trouble with the IdeaScale plug-in as well. I did have it appearing and it seemed to work properly, but I think as soon as I removed a misbehaving plug-in, the widget no longer appears. Checking the html source reveals no ideascale related code so I believe WordPress is not even rendering the plug-in to where I have assigned it. Using WordPress 2.9.
