  • Were you able to resolve this? I have a similar issue.

Is that something I would have ever had control over or should it have been set up differently by the author of the theme? Thanks for looking at this!

After two days of zero response, the theme support folks have responded and this is indeed the case. The theme is designed to display nothing on the main page. Forget for a moment, that this is utterly insane and was never mentioned in the documentation. There must be a way around this. Some way to insert code to display on the main page of the site. Does anyone know how to override the theme’s settings for home page display?

ok, so I switched to 2011 and the home page was blank – I clicked on edit and added something then refreshed the page and the text was displayed.

I switched the charity theme back on and the text no longer displays on the home page. What would cause that?

Will switching to the Twenty Eleven theme break anything or should I easily be able to toggle the themes on and off?

Everything I’ve done with the currently displayed theme has been nightmarish. Even the most minor changes cause catastrophic problems so I don’t want to create any more setbacks.

    Thanks for the help.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Is there a place to report shady theme vendors who are selling supposed support through marketplaces where people can easily be deceived by false positive reviews?

True, but withholding my next $35 doesn’t really seem like much of a consequence. This theme was sold through a marketplace that touted the accuracy of the documentation which has proved to be the problem all along. Couple that with less than attentive support staff and a designer that really doesn’t seem to care and you have what is starting to sound like a conspiracy to deceive consumers. I was hoping there’d be a more community-wide form of recourse for something like this.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I think I’m just going to reinstall and start from scratch.

What does one do when the developer of a theme and their supposed support staff refuse to respond to requests for support?
