I don’t know how to thank you Steve. Emptying the wp_comments table did manage to resolve the issue. It looks like one of the comments damaged the table. But it’s now fixed. And thank you again you’ve been a great help .

I tried disabling all the plugins, I also tried upgrading to 2.6.1, still I get the same thing. I recall it started happening after I got hit with lots of spam comments , don’t know if this has anything to do with it .
Thnx steve for the help, but the problem lies in the administrator edit-comment panel,/wp-admin/edit-comments.php , whenever I try to access it , it gives me a blank page and the number 54 on the top right. I haven’t added any plugins recently but I’ll try and post back soon.
