I host my own pages, and I have no idea of how to do a backup that is a previous date…

I can click on categories and I can see the numbers of Posts in each category but then when I click on the number to bring up all the posts in that category it says there are zero posts. There are supposed to be hundreds.
gabastil, what did you do to fix this? I have the same problem…

I restored from backup, then was still having issues, so deleted the wp-includes and re-uploaded that one.
Presto! Entire site up and running again.
