Joshua,

Am I not suposed to add the IPs that I get in the email report from the sites to the manual blocking list? I have seen these IPs used many times over a few months. Please let me know.

Joshua,

I had manually blocked the IP on a few of the sites because it kept showing up on the hack list I get every week from the sites. However this is also happening on my sites that I don’t have it manually blocked on. I have gotten as many as 804 blocks in one week to this IP and I didn’t have it blocked manually at the time. That is why I added it to the block list. Godaddy said they are doing nothing that would cause this. I don’t know what is going on. This is above my pay grade.

This is a screen shot of one of my sites. As you can see it is my websites IP that is being blocked.

Joshua,

I checked with my hosting and they say No they are not reverse proxying requests to non-admin screens and using a header. So, I don’t understand why this keeps happening. It happened again this week.

Yes it is happening on all my websites. They are all in the same hosting package. There are 8 sites in all.

Joshau,

Sorry for the delay in my response. I had a medical issue that kept me in bed for a few days. Here is the report I got today showing how many times my website’s IP has been blocked. I don’t understand why this is happening. I wonder who is getting blocked.

My personal PC is 156.146.—.–

My website uses 208.109.—.—

Again I have not given all of the IPs Just the first 6 numbers. With so much hacking going on, I don’t want to provide the full numbers in a way that the general public will see. I hope this helps.

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. I checked and it is set to the: Let Wordfence use the most secure method to get visitor IP addresses. Prevents spoofing and works with most sites. (Recommended).

At the bottom it shows

Detected IP(s): 156.—.175.–

Your IP with this setting: 156.—.175.–

I blocked out some of the numbers since I am not sure about sharing this for everyone. This is my computer IP not my website IP.
