Imagine your files are on /files
And you use the default for download URL.Then, the links to download are: http://example.com/download/yourfile.ext
If you’re logged in as admin, your downloads are not counted.

http://www.mysportspartner.com/index.php/our-members?user=maggie+mayIt means that for some reason, permalinks to the user profiles are not created in the proper way, as them does not include index.php in the URL.
This is a plugin bug. A bug report has been submited to http://alkivia.org/tracker/view.php?id=84 and you can monitor it to know when it’s solved.
Will try to publish the 0.5.2 release with this fix ASAP. I think will be fixed before tomorrow night.

In reply to: User Community Plugin: profile and gallery directories?Check the rights of your WordPress uploads folder. Normally the problem is that there is no write access or execution rights to the folder so, the folders needed by the plugin cannot be created and pictures cannot be loaded.
Also, it’s a nice idea if you provide a link to your Community list to see what’s the problem and why it’s not showing the profile and pictures.

Another way is set it to show excerpts, and manually write your own excerpt on the post page. (I use this one).

I understood completely a different think. I was thinking on removing the last user comments list.
I understand now what you mean. And will think about how to make it work. By now the problem is using the WordPress comment system: using only one page to hold all profiles and pictures, if you comment on one, this comment is relative to all community pages.
Will see if it’s possible to use the WordPress comments system or have to create a new one to do this.

Or perhaps provide a way to directly short the site url before displaying it. Thinking in laud perhaps set only a text on the page which links to the user site…

In reply to: [Plugin: User Community] New FeaturesAbut the Collapsing Categories, I reproduced the issue on a site that does not have the User Community installed, so It’s not related to the Community plugin.
Also, I’ve only get the issue on Firefox. Using IE-7 I could not reproduce it. I think is a browser issue with the Collapsing Categories. I would ask to this plugin forum to see if anyone else have it and how you can get it solved.

Please, go to Community->User Profiles, and uncheck the Author Link (Link author name to profile). This should remove the link on feeds for author name and then the format will be valid again.
Tell me if it works 😉 If it does, a fix will be available tonight in 0.5.1

Drop me your site address to see how it is configured, and to see what widgets, plugins and theme you’re using. I will try to reproduce it but need more info, as cannot reproduce it on my sites.
Probably there is a bad iteration with the theme, or some plugin or widget, so having information about it and seeing how you configured it will help.
