Basically, the more the page is linked to, and mentions something very similar to the query means it will rank higher. Try improving those, along with what henkholland said:
I think it’s because it is a “blog” but you are not really blogging there. Your top most recent post is from june 2009 and only it’s title is showing on the front page (not the date).
