Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress looking in wrong location for htaccessYes it did. I copied those into the correct one so at least my permalink structure is ok. But again, I cannot use Super Cache because it needs to modify the .htaccess file on demand. I’ve never had this problem before, but like I said I’ve installed this 3 times 2 different ways and every time it wants to go all the way to /home/ to find the .htaccess file instead of looking where it should. Thanks for you help, it’s baffling me.
Plus, this has worked fine on my development server (xampp on a thumb drive) so it should work fine on my hosting service’s server.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress looking in wrong location for htaccessI’m not migrating, I simply want the wordpress installation in a different directory than the browse to location. i.e. WordPress is in http://domain/dir but you only have to go to http://domain/ to find the blog.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: RPX] Doesn’t create new user accountsIs there a way to have it follow the blog’s registration rules? If you have registration turned off (ie Anyone can register. Unchecked) RPX will not register new users. Not sure how easy this is to implement, but would be an awesome feature.
