there is now an updated version, 0.2, of both plugins that remove the function in question.

I had not encountered this error, but I will have an update ready asap, to fix this issue for others in your situation.
The reason for the error is that you do not have the mime_content_type() installed, and I just realized that it has also been deprecated.
It was used to check and make sure that only css files in the css directory where attached to the document.
