I did try installing the upload manually using the zip file which did not work. I have no idea what FTP is.
I deleted everything to do with woo and checkout, rebooted my website and have now finally been able to get the update to load. What an incredibly frustrating experience!!!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Update failed: Could not copy fileI have deactivated the 2 plugins that were dependant on WooCommerce – those being Google Analytics for WooCommerce and WooPayments. I am still not able to delete WooCommerce or update it!
I’ve never had any issues updating any of my plugins before. What is going on with this Woocommerce update? It has been an issue for days now.

Any more detailed help available please, this is all unknown territory for me. Thanks

I’ve tried clicking on “update” and redownloading the woocommerce file to install and the “Could not copy file” error persists. I’m not able to delete/deactivate woocommerce it isn’t allowing me to do that.
Today’s error message is: Could not copy file. woocommerce/assets/images/pattern-placeholders/road-sport-vintage-wheel-retro-old.jpg
